This industrial abstract saguaro cactus “Tentasionem” is a one-of-one sculpture created by Omar. Standing 18 inches tall, 12 inches wide, and 2 inches deep, it is 100% handmade from found metal pieces, welded together in a freestyle, stitch-like method. Throughout the piece, uplifting graffiti style messages of peace, hope, faith, and resilience are subtly encrypted.
The sculpture depicts a small scene: sunlight breaking over a resilient prickly pear, standing firm in an abstract southwestern world. Every metal fragment was intentionally gathered and welded to symbolize our own perseverance against the temptations and challenges we face in life.
